Closing Our Hosting Service

As of today, Idlesoft will no longer be offering web hosting services. We are no longer accepting new hosting customers nor are we allowing existing clients to renew their service with us. However, existing clients will still receive service until their prepaid time is up. Nothing will change service-wise, Idlesoft is simply closing it's hosting service altogether on the aforementioned date.

We sincerely apologize if this inconveniences anyone. We would like to remind our existing clients that they are still able to cancel their service and receive a refund as described in the Hosting Terms of Service, if they so choose.

Hosting was an experiment for us, and we really enjoyed it. However, we formed Idlesoft with the intentions that it would be a software company. Given that, it is about time we focused solely on our software ventures.

Perhaps one day, we'll bring back hosting, most likely in a different form. Nevertheless, we would like to thank all of our hosting customers for riding the rollercoaster with us, it's been a blast.

In commemoration of World IPv6 Day, Idlesoft has prepared a nice surprise. Starting today, Idlesoft will enable IPv6 for free for any of our hosting customers upon request. Aren't we nice?

Completely unrelated, we've released a revised Terms of Service for Idlesoft Hosting. Please read these terms and feel free to complain to us at any time!

With the release of our Terms of Service, we're also announcing another big step for Idlesoft Hosting. If ever you are dissatisfied with our service, you can get a refund! If you decide you want to cancel your service within the first week of use, we'll give you 100% of your money back. If you choose to cancel after the one week grace period, we will refund you based on the days remaining on your account.

Earlier this month, we took quite a big step and made Idlesoft official. We are now known as Idlesoft LLC, offering server hosting and software (Android apps!) as a means for revenue.

Along with this news, I should also point out the new web site overhaul, complete with a rewritten backend. We're still working out the kinks and the current theme is not final (many tweaks await), but hopefully everyone likes what we've done!

Stay tuned for more updates!
